The Louvre Museum will open its doors on July 6th!
After several months of closure, the most visited museum in Paris will welcome you back at the beginning of July!
The Louvre has taken advantage of these two months to refurbish some of its rooms. Indeed, two new rooms were devoted to the presentation of paintings recovered in Germany after the Second World War.
Numerous exhibitions were won in September or extended throughout the summer, such as Figure d'artiste, Soleils noirs, Albrecht Altdorfer Maître de la Renaissance allemande and Le Corps et l'Âme De Donatello à Michel-Ange.
If you are interested in an exhibition at the museum, we advise you to book online. You will find below the link to the Louvre's website:
For those who prefer to walk outside and enjoy the good weather, go to the Jardins du Carrousel and des Tuileries! The national estate of the Louvre and Tuileries includes several gardens covering an area of 30 hectares. You will find many sculptures, statues and vases, ranging from the 17th to the 21st century.
Don't panic, the Louvre museum has taken every precaution to guarantee you a safe visit. Numerous measures have been put in place such as: booking a time slot (opening of the online ticket office on 15 June 2020) and wearing a mask. In addition, barrier gestures and physical distance must be respected.
