"Eternal Notre-Dame" an immersive exhibition
You can now discover the history of one of the most emblematic monuments of Paris, the Notre-Dame Cathedral. The Virtual Reality exhibition will take you on a journey through the Middle Ages to the present day, from its first construction site to the current one of reconstruction. This 45-minute trip will allow you to explore Notre-Dame recreated digitally in its entirety. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself and discover all the secrets hidden in the monument. This experience will allow you to admire the masterpieces of the cathedral and meet its emblematic characters.
You will also have the opportunity to access the virtual reality worksite and learn the underside of the restoration of Notre-Dame as well as the actors participating in the worksite. Indeed, a whole space of this exhibition is dedicated to the restoration of the building consisting of photographs of the site but also elements of the heritage of the cathedral, statues, paintings and many other works to discover.
This travelling exhibition begins on January 15 in the Grande Arche de la Défense space, will continue in the spring at the Conciergerie and will finish its tour of Paris in autumn 2022 on the forecourt of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame.
The exhibition «Éternelle Notre-Dame» will then tour France and the World before being able to find its enclosure.
