European House of Photography
This cultural institution is ideally located a few minutes walk from the Hôtel du Jeu de Paume, in the heart of the Marais district.
The MEP is a space dedicated to the art of photography, providing a stage for both internationally renowned artists and emerging talents. Throughout the year, it offers captivating temporary exhibitions, guided tours, conferences, artistic meetings and screenings.
Until November 1, 2023, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the work of Dutch artist Rineke Dijkstra, whose work is distinguished by a sensitive approach and careful observation of human emotions as well as the way we perceive ourselves, we present to the world, and that which is beyond our control.
Through her portraits, she tells the story of the passage of time, life experiences and the social norms that influence us. These questions, particularly relevant during the period of childhood and adolescence, are at the heart of the exhibition currently presented at the MEP.
