Immersive dive into the Egypt of the Pharaohs
At the Atelier des Lumières, until January 5, 2025, discover a captivating exhibition retracing three millennia of this fascinating civilization. The adventure begins with the rediscovery of ancient remains by French scientists during the Egyptian Campaign, illustrated by the works of David Roberts.
The exhibition then transports you into Egyptian cosmogony, where divine forces come to life, before revealing scenes of daily life along the Nile. The pyramids, symbols of ancient architecture, stand majestically, guarded by the Sphinx.
Legendary pharaohs such as Khephren, Hatshepsut and Akhenaten dominate the space, while sacred gold, forged into royal jewels, illuminates the walls. The exploration continues through the imposing temples to the tombs of Tutankhamun and Nefertari, before concluding with a plunge into the afterlife, revealing the unspoiled mysteries of ancient Egypt.
