The Louvre cellars
Located in a former 18th-century mansion once owned by King Louis XV's waxmaker, these cellars have been meticulously restored to create a place where wine and heritage meet.
The experience, lasting around an hour, is designed to awaken all the senses. The tour begins with touch, where you explore the terroirs and textures of the vineyard soils.
Next, the sense of smell is stimulated with aromas captured in wooden corks, allowing you to better understand the subtleties of the grape varieties.
The tasting takes place around a giant barrel-shaped table, where you discover the flavors and secrets of taste. The senses of the ear are then honored in an immersive room, where the sounds of wine, from champagne bubbles to bottling noises, transport you. And finally, the eye is explored through the colors and dresses of the wines, before finishing with a final tasting.
There are other types of tastings and tours to suit all budgets. Visit their website to find out more.
